Here's the night light! It's a potential lamp character for whatever story we choose to go with. Here are a couple of pictures, with and without the light on:

Here's what everyone said about themselves, alphabetically:
Kim Frisch
I like character design and I can do storyboards. I don't have much experience with modeling, rigging, or animation but I wouldn't mind learning to fill in a gap. Good with Photoshop, I've done a little AfterEffects, and I knew Flash long ago. Also I'm good at organizing things.
Katie Olsen
Storyboarding, visual development, working on learning how to animate in 2d and 3d. I know photoshop, illustrator, flash, and flipbook and maya. So I would love to sign up as an animator and story develpment and doing color studies for our projects.
Blake Rutledge
skills/experience: 2D - vector art, photoshop, storyboard, character design. 3D - not as much, learning modeling, know some animation, no rigging
Michael Tabb
I can use photoshop and illustrator alright, I mostly enjoy modeling and rigging. I'm not a huge fan of actually making things move.
Kelsey Eng
I like visual development- character designs, concepts, lighting keys (!!). Can do storyboards but it's not what I like doing the most. I'm up for learning basic modeling and animating in Maya as well, but would like to focus on building a portfolio for Vis Dev. Skills: Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects. Flipbook.

I'd say we have three basic stages here:
- development (concept, vis dev, storyboards)
- 3D (modeling, rigging, animation, lighting)
- and finishing (sound, 2d effects, interactivity, editing, color editing)

Elana Lederman
I'll do anything but lighting. I really like modeling, texturing and animation, but as long as i'm not doing lighting i'm fine. I know how to use Maya, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Flipbook.

Character Studies
Hello! Here are some lamp character studies. I thought I'd try chandeliers, which might be a little logistically tricky, but I imagine them able to skate freely across the ceiling. Otherwise it could be a gag to have them appear in different locations without explanation for how they moved.
The enormous flashlights make me laugh because I imagine when they're turned on, it's the visual equivalent of yelling at the top of their lungs. AAAHHHHHHHH!
